Let's talk Iran - April 22, 2022
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Must Be Dismantled, Not Delisted
The Biden administration’s feverish pursuit to resurrect the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement is grounded in the false hope that the Iranian regime’s behavior can be modified by making more and more concessions. Tehran’s rulers have a perfect record of non-compliance with every agreement during their four decades in power. A paramilitary organization that no longer involves itself in a broad range of regional conflicts or seeks to undermine U.S. interests would no longer be the IRGC. Terrorism is in the very DNA of the institution. LINK
Iran refuses to abandon avenging Soleimani despite U.S. offers
Iran will not give up on its plans to avenge the 2020 U.S. assassination of Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani, despite "regular offers" from Biden to lift sanctions and provide other concessions in return. Biden's ongoing appeasement (read begging) is emboldening Tehran. LINK
Iran notifies Israel they have missiles pointed at all of Tel Aviv's nuclear and bioweapons facilities
Iran's missiles are controlled by the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). Biden is considering delisting the IRGC from the @StateDept's list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO). Think about. LINK
Why Have Iran’s Nuclear Talks Stalled?
The regime has no other options but to accept a new deal or reject everything and pay for the consequences, one of them being the expansion of social crises and people’s protests. LINK
New Iran-Russia Oil and Gas Deal Fuels Russian Geopolitics
A 20-year deal agreed between Iran and Russia at the end of 2021 will see Russia tighten its grip on the gas market and determine at what price and to which countries Iran will sell its gas. LINK
Iranian teachers hold protest rallies in dozens of cities
Iranian teachers took to the streets in over 50 cities on Thursday protesting the regime’s delays and obstructions in implementing the “ranking bill” and the systemic repression of teacher activists in Iran. LINK
Nationwide protest in 50 cities by Iran teachers and educators
Women played a significant role in virtually all the gatherings. Iranian teachers demanded the full implementation of the Civil Service Management Law. They said that after implementing this law and implementing a genuine ranking system and adjustment of the salaries, every teacher, retiree, and employee, especially newly hired teachers and informal teachers, should be above the poverty line. They also called for payment of the end-of-service bonuses for the retirees of 2021 and the past-due payments of daily-wage teachers. The teachers also demanded the official and permanent employment of teachers working on temporary contracts. LINK
Teachers’ protests signal a turbulent year ahead in Iran
This undeniable reality is sounding alarm bells for senior regime officials, especially with International Labor Day on May 1 just around the corner. LINK
Iran’s State-Media and their Endless Warnings!
Iran’s state media have for years covered up the regime's crimes. Now it seems that the society’s volatile situation prevents state media from continuing to spread propaganda (fake news), compelling them to acknowledge some aspects of the harsh reality. LINK
How Much is a Baby Worth in Iran?
In Iran there are parents trying to sell off their newborns. It’s just unimaginable what problems can drive you to the decision to give away a part of yourself to an unknown fate, just to keep above water and perhaps save the other ones… for a while. LINK
