Let's talk Iran - March 11, 2022
Iranian dissidents warn that removing IRGC's terror designation will lead to ‘terrorism and mayhem’
A top Iranian resistance group is warning that any move to take the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps off the U.S. Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) list will "heighten terrorism and mayhem" in the region, amid fears the Biden administration will make such a move as part of negotiations to bring Iran back into the 2015 nuclear deal.
"A potential IRGC exclusion from the FTO list and taking these individuals off the terror blacklist, as requested by Iran’s ruling theocracy, will no doubt heighten terrorism and mayhem in the region," the report by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), released Thursday, said. LINK
Iran nuclear talks close to collapse over Russian demands
The Iran nuclear talks are on the precipice of collapse over last-minute Russian demands for sanctions protection, according to two diplomats. Negotiations have reached an impasse over the Russian requests, diplomats said, imperiling the revival of a 2015 landmark deal under which Iran limited its nuclear ambitions in exchange for sanctions relief.
Moscow is concerned about the expected influx of Iranian oil into the market after a restored nuclear deal, which would create competition for Russian oil and ease energy prices, potentially enabling the West to impose more sanctions on Russia over its Ukraine assault. LINK
The Iran Nuclear Deal Must Sink in the Ashes of Ukraine
The West must tear up the Iranian nuclear deal and slam the door on Putin and his allies. Murderous dictators like Ebrahim Raisi, the president of Iran and Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, should be indicted for crimes against humanity and genocide and tried in the International Criminal Court in the Hague. Iran Nuclear Talks Break Off Without a Deal
“Negotiations over Russia’s demands will take time that Western diplomats say the negotiations don’t have because of Iran’s advancing nuclear work.” LINK
Drone Attack On Saudi Refinery Did Not Affect Supplies, Agency Says
Iran has a history of launching drone/missile/rocket attacks into Saudi Arabia. And the timing, amid ongoing nuclear talks in Vienna, is quite interesting. LINK
US seized Iran oil cargo as Biden considers easing sanctions
Opponents of Iran warn that even as Ukraine scrambles geopolitical calculations and the U.S. turns its attention to Russia, the Biden administration shouldn’t take pressure off the Islamic Republic. The country is considered by the U.S. a state sponsor of terrorism and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, an elite military unit that plays a key role in the oil industry, a supporter of Hezbollah and other militant groups active throughout the Middle East.
“We should continue to work to ensure that the IRGC cannot use profits from its sale of Iranian oil to fund terrorism and other activities that threaten the safety and security of all Americans.” LINK

Continuous protests in Iran, discontented voices louder than ever
The regime in Tehran is following the footsteps of other dictators in history. Embolden by power in their hands, equipped with repressive apparatus and in Iran’s case, being appeased by the western governments, the regime in Tehran seems to believe in its existence to be eternal. Dictatorship is a system of thoughts that does not believe in the will of people and employs all it has in its power to prolong its disgraceful and brutal life. History has proven it to be wrong time after time, revolution after revolution. The collapse of another dictator, this time in Iran, is etched in the heart of history. History is destiny that is being made by the will of the people; a will no power in the world could bring it to a halt. May we all become the witness of the collapse of the Iranian regime and witness the victory of light over dark, one more time. LINK
Baluch man killed by security forces in southeast Iran
Loghman Narouii, a 33-year-old Baluch man, was shot in the head by security forces after he refused to stop at a police checkpoint for not having a driving license. The Iranian regime’s armed forces, shoot, kill, or injure innocent civilians without being held accountable. There are almost daily reports of police and border guards opening fire on Kurd border porters in western Iran and civilians carrying fuel in southeastern Iran. LINK
Who Is Responsible for Iran’s Starving People?
Just a few days ago, the Iranian regime’s president Ebrahim Raisi made a ridiculous claim that the absolute poverty engulfing the country will be eradicated within two weeks. With such a preposterous remark, it is no wonder that the regime’s officials and Iran’s state media have responded with sarcastic and cynical reactions.
The number of the poor living under the poverty line has surpassed 70 percent, completely exterminating the middle class of the country. LINK
