Iran urges US to quickly return to nuclear deal
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that as Iran’s June elections approach, the United States will find itself dealing with a government unable to make progress in the nuclear talks.
“A lame duck government will not be able to do anything serious. And then we will have a waiting period of almost six months. We will not have a government before September,” Zarif said at an online conference with the European Policy Centre think-tank in Brussels. LINK

Arab Coalition destroys explosive drone targeting Saudi Arabia’s Khamis Mushait
The Arab Coalition intercepted, and destroyed an explosive-laden drone launched by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi militia toward Saudi Arabia's Khamis Mushait, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on late Sunday night.
Yemen’s Houthi movement regularly launch drones and missiles into Saudi Arabia, many of which Riyadh has intercepted. LINK

Jailed French tourist in Iran, Benjamin Briere, faces spying charges, lawyer says
French tourist Benjamin Briere, who was arrested in Iran 10 months ago, faces charges of “spying and propaganda against the system”, one of his lawyers told Reuters on Monday, at a time of heightened tension between Tehran and the West.
The revelation comes as the United States and European parties to Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal, including France, are trying to restore the pact that was abandoned in 2018 by then-U.S. President Donald Trump. LINK
