Iran’s police shot an incapacitated man at point black on Sep 4 in Karaj, west of Tehran. This is not an isolated case. There are almost daily reports of police and border guards opening fire on Kurd border porters in western Iran and civilians carrying fuel in southeastern Iran. US inching 'closer' to closing door on return to Iran nuclear deal: Blinken
Washington is inching “closer” toward giving up on resuming the Iran nuclear deal, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Wednesday.
Asked about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) that former President Barack Obama joined and Donald Trump later withdrew from, Blinken said: “I’m not going to put a date on it, but we are getting closer to the point at which a strict return to compliance with the JCPOA does not reproduce the benefits that that agreement achieved.” LINK
US Navy launches Mideast drone task force amid Iran tensions
The U.S. Navy’s Mideast-based 5th Fleet said Wednesday it will launch a new task force that incorporates airborne, sailing and underwater drones after years of maritime attacks linked to ongoing tensions with Iran. LINK
